I have known Bernice for 26 years and have always thought so highly of her. She is one of the nicest, kindest, most gentle & refined woman that I have known. Bernice, like myself, was a wonderful lover of animals and it permeated throughout her life. I spent many, many times, over the years, chatting with Bernice in front of the building and always felt a kinship to her and a comfort. I am deeply sorry for her sudden loss; especially for her family. She will be very missed but I'm sure is at perfect peace now. Bernice...it was an honor and a joy to know you !!! God bless.

We send heartfelt condolences from Carmen and Frederick Lawrence. Bernice was such a good neighbor and friend. When I moved into the building on Christmas Eve, 2003, to the day I left, she was the first I met and the last to whom I said goodbye. Always with a smile and a kindness shared whether a good book, homemade soup, delicious chocolates. For some reason it seemed she would live forever...and she shall do so in our sad hearts. We pray for her peaceful journey to the Heavenly Father. She shall be missed so very much.
