Liam and David. My heartfelt condolences to you both. So many happy memories of Doris, most notably when she and Jimmy met me in NYC when I was on my J1 and was there for a night before going to Aidan's wedding. They looked after a raw 19 year old with food and good advice. Many more happy memories on top of that. Thinking of you both at this difficult time. Fergal
Carmel Kelly left a message on October 25, 2025:
Liam and David. Have just been thinking so much about Doris, I couldn't possibly fit all in one note. How Doris always reckoned I taught her when she was on teacher training in Drimnagh, which is possible given the years, how she first came to visit Carrick with her Aunt and my mother, how Doris often recalls the smell from the boys room (apologies to my brothers!) and how she just became a loyal and faithful friend, she could be away in Iran or Saudi and just pick up as if she never left when you all came back for a visit. Doris asked me to pick her up some holy water on my trip to Knock recently and how she planned to collect it, I have the holy water anyway, it's in the font in Ballymahon. Thinking of you both so much, I will have mass said for her here and will be in touch soon.
