Anne Margaret Rehren, born January 28, 1918 in Brooklyn, N.Y. passed away peacefully on February 6, 2018 at Ozanam Hall, Bayside, N.Y. Anne, 100 years old, was a 19 year resident of Douglaston, N.Y. Anne is survived by her beloved daughter, Barbara A. Rehren, of Douglaston; her beloved poodle, Otto Rehren-Bart; her nemisis in life, William A. Bart, her loving step grand children Erica Bart and her husband, Michael Rudnick, Corinne Bart and Vanessa Bart. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband,William Joseph Rehren and her dear son, William A. Rehren. A graduate of Girls Academic High School in Brooklyn, N.Y., Anne was active in Reading and English Literature. She was characterized by the phrase, “If silence is a product, Anne would have a surplus!” After raising two children, Anne worked for Abraham & Straus for 38 yrs. as a skin consultant for Charles of the Ritz, Orlane and Christian Dior. She volunteered to teach CCD at the Blessed Mother of Nativity School in Ozone Park; was a member of St. Anastasia’s Church, the Douglaston Garden Club, volunteered on the election board in Douglaston, Queens and also volunteered her services at Ozanam Hall Nursing Home in Bayside, Queens. Anne was a strong, courageous and compassionate woman who loved people, dancing, socializing and helping others. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
