Anthony P. Caggiano (85) of Great Neck passed away on Sunday March 17, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital Port Washington with his beloved family at his side.

Anthony, fondly known as Tony, Uncle Tony or Pop Pop, was born to Anna Siano and Alfred Caggiano on March 17, 1939 and was raised in Queens, NY.

Anthony spent more than 30 years driving MTA buses for TriBoro Coach. He enjoyed drinking coffee at cafes, playing cards, and most of all, going fishing, camping and being outdoors with his loved ones. The New York Yankees were his all-time favorite sports team.

Anthony was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Gleadall (2013).

He is survived by his current wife, Betty Caggiano, his children Jessica Caggiano of Monterey Park, California, Antonio Caggiano and his wife Claudine of Helmetta, New Jersey, stepchildren Raymond Spinelle of Maspeth NY and Jeannette Spinelle of Great Neck, NY, grandchildren Nicole, Mia and Kai, step-grandchildren Raymond III and Anthony and great-grandchildren Leland, Jaxon and Emersyn. Also surviving are many extended family and friends.

My sincerest condolences to your family. I have fond memories of Tony when we lived on 20th street in Astoria,. When I was a young boy,Tony and Ernie would take me and some of the other boys in our court on camping trips, it was a great learning experience and lots of fun. I will forever be grateful uncle Tony.🙏🏻
