Cathy Edwards left a message on May 15, 2023:
I am truly saddened to hear of Charley's death. I met Charley, and his family, for the first time in late October, 2022, at the Codella Family Reunion in Kentucky. Charley came to the family gathering at our vineyard, Harkness Edwards Vineyards, where we first met one another, sorted through family connections, laughed, drank the wine, ate the food, and enjoyed the view. He was a trooper! And it was clear that a few health issues would not stand in his way from enjoying his family and meeting many new cousins. For that, I am extremely grateful to have the pleasure of his acquaintance, and knowing his interest in his extended family. Many prayers and condolences to all of the family. -Cathy Edwards

One of the very best, of the best the was. A fantastic man. Certainly will be missed here and appreciated in heaven. The conversations and ballgames the group are playing now must be spectacular. G ary Lombardo and family.

My deepest sympathy to all his family. He certainly was a fine Dad, a great Grandfather and truly a wonderful guy. The clock ticks and life goes on but the beauty of what remains will stay with all of you forever. With fondest memories of “Charlie”, Gwen Korr

I've known Charlie for a long time playing softball with him. A nicer man never lived. My deepest condolences.
