I only just heard of Dave's passing this week (i.e. 16 months since he left us). I was a childhood friend of Dave's. We met in 4th grade and were friends through High School after which I moved away. We ate lunch together every day from 6th grade through 12th and we were in the Boy Scouts together attending Scout Camp 3 times together. He was a great athlete and had a 10-1 pitching record in his sophomore year at Great Neck South High School. Th other teams taunted him from the sidelines by nicknaming him "YoYo" based on his regular practices with a YoYo to perfect his curve ball. I was never successful in convincing him to go to one of our High School Reunions. I'm now left with my memories of a great childhood friend whom I'll miss.

I'm so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I remember fondly the happy times we spent growing up together in school, church and Boy Scouts. Later we shared many adventures on the football field for the Little Neck Inn Football League. All these years later I still use the Gatorade Cooler Dave gave me and the autographed 1978 NY Yankee Baseball, Dave gave me back in the day will always hold a treasured spot on my mantle. My sympathies to Dee Dee and the extended family and please know I'm so glad Dave was part of my life. We had some laughs!
Planning ahead is prudent. Call us now.

My sincerest condolences to the entire Sprague family! I pray that God gives you all the strength to get through this most difficult time of sorrow! Dave was a mentor, a colleague and most of all a friend to me. Willing and able to be there at any moment if need be. He has taught me a lot in business and in life and for that I’m ever grateful. Although this news comes with great sadness and emotional pain, it’s also a time to celebrate his life here on earth, one that I’m ever so happy to have been a part of. His door was always open and so was “Dave’s Den” come to think of it! God bless and may your soul rest in peace!
