I have never meet Edward. However I feel I have come to know the family as I discover my families roots. I believe he was a 3rd cousin. My great grandfather Luigi Cavaseno's brother Diego's son Vincezo, and his son Vincenzo. What I found is there was an entire family so close that we never got to know. We lived in Woodside for years and as the family crew we moved to Staten Island, New Jersey and then Florida.
My grand mother Josephine Cavasenno and Joseph Cuva are also buried at Calvery.
So sorry for your loss.

I was deeply saddened to learn today that my brother in rhythm has passed from this life, and gone on to what I can only hope is a better one.
Although most that knew us as a team that kept time,we were much more than that.
Ed and I had an understanding, and feel, for not only a groove, but for a kinship that simply can't be explained,or duplicated.
He was a beautiful, wonderful, caring human being that will be missed beyond belief. Not only by me,but by anybody who has ever had the pleasure of meeting him.
My heart is broken today.
I love you my friend.
Suzanne Costanza left a message on April 1, 2016:
Ed and his mom were my family's closest neighbors. Ed was always helpful to my parents during their lives, and to my brother Walt & his wife Sharon afterwards. I know Ed enjoyed his drumming and gardening. The yard around their home shows the care he took, from the rear roses, down the prickly, dense border barberries, the rhododendrons around the house foundation, and the tall privets on the front. One pride was the fig tree, whose fruits he shared with us. The other was his tomato patch, whose harvest he shared.

For the last 20 years, I have lived near Boston, and have not been to Little Neck often. But I always tried to say hello to Ed when I came, and to share a bit of gardening talk. I remember us outside, in sunlight, enjoying the growing world. That's the image I will return to.

With affection and wishing peace

Suzanne
