Frank was a WWII veteran who proudly served on the USS Canberra from 1942-1946 in the Asiatic Pacific region where his ship was struck by enemy fire. After spending most of his life in NYC, Frank moved to North Carolina to be near his daughter and grandchildren after the death of his beloved wife. He enjoyed his life at Heritage Pines and was very active in the community. He enjoyed cooking for the men’s breakfasts, line dancing, book club, the famous ROMEO club (Retired Old Men Eating Out), pool league, sailing model yachts in the lake, Cary senior games and he loved having a beer and a bite to eat at Connelly’s (Doherty’s). Frank was devoted to his family and loved all the family get-togethers. He was so happy to have lived to see his precious great grandchildren , Madyson and Elyse. Our cherished memories of Frank include his strong Christian faith, his generous and loving spirit, his wonderful sense of humor, his positive attitude and his bright smile. Frank will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday January 12 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Cary, N.C.
