Jamie was a loving ,tender man and friend and a beautiful priest.
He comforted me twice in my life. Once when I had emotional trouble many years ago and again during my Dad's wake and funeral mass.
Jamie I know you are with Our Father in Heaven and embracing all the angels who have loved you so. I know you are in glory.
Thank you Jamie for all you've done here on earth for my family, myself and all you've touched. AmenYRCcK

Father Sweeney will be greatly missed. He was always supportive and helpful. He never turned down a need for help. Most of all, he will also be greatly remembered for his intelligence, extremely pleasant disposition and wit. He could make you laugh at a moment's notice. He brought good cheer to everyone he met. He was a very talented individual. I usually helped him build sets for many Passion plays and even once helped him build a patio in the back of the rectory at St. Pius V Church in Jamaica. We lost a great man and a wonderful priest. I was always proud to call him my friend. Go with God, Father Sweeney!

Father Sweeney was a wonderful fried always thinking of others. His art work spoke of courage and service. He lived courageously with his disability. He always had a smile and a gentle word for everyone. I remember going to Our Lady of Mercy in Brooklyn and his gracious welcome. I also remember Father driving people in a van to get to retreats at Tabor in Oceanside . May he find rest in the Lord
