My sincere sympathies to the entire family. I have had the pleasure of Jim's wisdom as he was my C.Y.O. Basketball Coach and a fellow member of the Championship Team of the Filthy Pigs. J.K.D. exemplified courage and compassion in his daily endeavors.

Jimmy was a friend who once he met you, you were connected. Timespan was irreverent. If you hadn't seen him in a while or a long while, he'd pick up when you lasted talked and go from there. Met Jim at Helena's, and again when he walked into my firehouse years later... same guy same low-keyed attitude. We'll miss you Jimmy, rest easy brother.
Bob Stapleton left a message on July 3, 2023:
Jaimo, my oldest friend, 1514 Metropolitan Ave, Parkchester, Bronx, NY. You lived on the 3rd floor and I lived on the 4th flr. We had so much fun as little kids. Our families were tight and we were tight. When you moved it broke my little heart. I was so happy when we reconnected at St Helena's HS. We picked up where we left off. We had a blast for what seemed like forever. Life moved on, as it always does, but we reconnected again in the last few years. I am so glad we did. You were a hero in the 9/11 aftermath. I'm so proud of you. My mom, Ellie, just passed last week. 100 years old. She loved you so much too. Hopefully, you are both hoisting one together. I love you. See you soon.
