Jane Fichtl Delin passed away on May 30, 2019 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Claudia and Ed Jensen, in Anacortes, Washington. Jane was born in Queens, New York on October 5,1928. She was 90. She grew up in Little Neck, New York in the home her parents, Ernest and Emily Fichtl, built in 1933. It always held a special place in her heart, and Jane still owned the family home at the time of her death. Jane is survived by a son, John S. Delin, Jr., who has Younger Onset Alzheimer’s but would do anything for her if he still could; a daughter, Claudia D. Jensen who was pleased to serve as her primary caregiver; and a son-in-law Edward A. Jensen whose culinary skills and all-around support Jane and Claudia both appreciated. Jane is also survived by many cousins, the most notable of whom is Ernest T. Bartol, her first cousin, attorney and friend for many, many years. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
