Patricia Elizabeth Torrisi passed away peacefully on September 18th, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Long Island City on April 8th, 1942, to Henry and Josephine Phillips, the first of three children. Soon after Patricia graduated from high school, she married the love of her life Salvatore Torrisi in 1960. Together they opened Marathon Food Shop in Little Neck, New York, which is still run by their loving son, Joseph.

After her husband died in 2014, Patricia continued to dedicate herself to Marathon Food Shop, working alongside her son Joseph. Her commitment to her family and the community was unwavering, and she became a beloved figure in Little Neck.

Patricia is survived by her son Joseph his wife Lisa, as well as her daughter Trish and husband Joe, and her cherished grandchildren Joseph, Lauren, Danielle, Christopher and Matthew. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and the joy she brought to those around her.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Our deepest condolences from the Puglisi and Amalfitano families. Pat was a gracious and wonderful woman. We shopped at Marathon for over 40 years and Pat and Sal would always take the time to have a chat. When they bought their home in Florida Sal invited all of us to come by. They always had a such an easy going way and made you feel welcomed.
