Priscila Acosta Nano November 12, 1941 – January 15, 2021 Priscila was born in Talogtog, in the Pangasinan province of northern Philippines on November 12, 1941. She was named Principia with a regal nod, but was affectionately known as “Precy.” She was a younger sister to the late Andres Pajela and Euphemia Tactay. She was the first child of Mercedes Dolores and Segundo Acosta. She married Carlos Nano in December of 1968 in the Philippines, and is the beloved mother of three children, Eileen Daniels, Glenn Nano and Ron Nano. She was known as a faithful, god-fearing woman, a loyal friend and confidant. She was a joyful, fun loving spirit, amicable and always carried an indelible smile. She lit up the room and valued connectivity. She created an environment for her children and their children to have integrity, to broaden their dreams and aspirations, and most of all, to value kindness. She was raised Methodist, and found her church home at the Community Church of Little Neck, where her kids enjoyed. She graduated from the University of the East, Ramon Magsaysay Medical Center. She would go on to live and work in Toronto until she began her life in New York in 1970 – where she held Nurse Supervisor roles at Mount Sinai and Long Island Jewish Hospitals. She raised her kids in Great Neck and lastly resided in the Upper East Side to be near her daughter. Priscila is and will be cherished by Eileen, Glenn, and Ronald, her seven grandchildren, Jalen Daniels, Jacyn Daniels, Julian Daniels, Mia Nano, Claire Nano, Owen Nano, and Ars Nano, and a legacy of a long list of family young and old that know her as a constant source of light and laughter.
