Richard Werner brought charm, humor and pleasure to his family and friends throughout his life. Richard always approached the world with appreciation for family, animals, travel and the outdoors. He will long be remembered for his gentle presence and the pleasure he took in the people and pets in his life and the beauties of the world that surrounded him. Richard was a loving husband and companion to his wife, Dagmar, for 47 years. He was an affectionate father and friend to his son Christopher and daughter-in-law, Ronnie (Russell), and a doting grandfather to their sweet children, Ryan and Katherine. Richard was the son of Susan and Christopher Werner of Manhattan, the brother of Connie and Lois, the uncle of Donna, Elaine, Stacy and Liza. Throughout his life, Richard was also a fond member of the extended Winternitz, Megna, Borchert and Russell families.
