Here we are in March 2021 and Robert Prior comes to mind after nearly 50 years. We were Classmates at St.A's and sang in Choir together, which of course he began successfully directing. I can only think that Bob's Spirit is here to 'Bring Home' the plethora of Souls rising from this epidemic. That's Bob, Thoughtful and Gracious. Now an Angel.

A heartfelt thank you to Robert for his inspiration. not only through his music which brought us deeper in touch with the spiritual, but also his friendly manner and laughter. We will miss him so much but he is "IN GOD'S HANDS" now. Rest in peace, Robert. Bernadette

We were very sorry to hear about Bob. He was a great coach and choirmaster to me and many friends who sang at Holy Innocents and Our Saviour in New York. He was foremost a faithful and highly talented Catholic artistthe indispensable creator of Our Saviour's music program and its traditional, soaring sound during Fr. Rutler's years there. Bob then did the same for St. Michael's after Fr. Rutler's transfer there.
Robert was amazingly deft at putting singers and instruments together and bringing out their best, even on short notice--as when he directed the music at a private Mass attended by President and Mrs. George W. Bush at Our Saviour in 2004, and at a moving anniversary Mass commemorating 9/11.
My wife and I are especially thankful for the beautiful music created by Bob for the funeral of my father and for many of the sacraments of our children.
We are grateful to have known such a great artist and a wise and wise-cracking companion, and we will miss him very much. Requiescat in pace, my friend.
