The world has lost a truly special human being with the passing of Theresa. She was our friend when she lived in Minneapolis, and stayed with us many times after she returned to New York. Her stories were heartwarming and amusing, and complemented by her gift of observation and her delightful New York accent. She and Tom shared many evenings talking politics. She taught our dog, Leo, the true meaning of "treat" - she gave him one often when he was in her presence. We most recently spent time with her in June, and while she wasn't feeling well, she was thrilled to see us and us to see her. Our lives were made better by knowing her. Rest easy, Theresa, Hilary will win!

To the Cassidy family.
I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Theresa through our mutual friend Jonathan and spent several Thanksgivings with her at Jonathan's in Boston as well as time at the Cape. She was a wonderful person and will be missed.

I wish to express my deepest condolences to Theresa's family and friends. I met Theresa through my sister, Mary Ann McLaughlin, a cardiologist at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Manhattan. While I never knew Theresa particularly well, we enjoyed some pleasant times as a group. On one of the occasions she and I were in the same room, she taught me things about the Irish heritage in New York that I had never read in any history books. She had a vibrant personality and I am certain she will be sorely missed. May she rest in peace, and may her family and friends achieve a measure of their own solace as they move forward from this occasion. Be well, people.
